    Expert of ExPE took part in discussion of National emission reduction plan (NERP) from large combustion plants

    On January 22, 2015 in Kyiv was held the first meeting of the working sub-working group to coordinate the implementation of the measures towards reduction of the environment pollution and implementation of EU Directives 2001/80/ЕC and 2010/75/EC on the limitation of emissions of certain pollutants into the air from large combustion plants. Subgroup operates within the framework of multilateral working group on efficient development, implementation and monitoring of the reforms performance efficiency in accordance with the obligations under the Energy Community that is established at the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine.

    In the meeting participated the Deputy Head of the Expert Platform for Energy Efficiency, Oleksii Khabatiuk.

    The experts of public organization “ExPE” prepared the Concept of the Law of Ukraine “On efficient use of fuel and energy resources”

    The experts of public organization “The Expert Platform for Energy Efficiency” developed and officially addressed to the attention of Hennadii Zubko (Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine) the draft Concept of the Law of Ukraine “On efficient use of fuel and energy resources” for examination and further decision-making for approval by the Cabinet of Minister of Ukraine.

    The experts of the Platform held working meeting with French partners

    On January 16, 2015, in order to expand cooperation with representatives of French business community in energy sphere was held the meeting between ExPE coordinator Igor Cherkashyn, co-facilitator of the sector of renewable energy engineering of ExPE, Eduard Kulbak, and the Head of BETEN International Mr. Jean Roche.

    Experts of the Platform held regular general meeting

    According to the work plan, annual general meeting of the Expert platform for Energy Efficiency was held on January 15, 2015

    The meeting agenda included the discussion regarding the development of fundamental framework draft laws of Ukraine on energy efficiency, renewable resources, energy service.

    It was discussed the materials on the concept development regarding the program of creation of regional energy agencies network in Ukraine, based on the principles and methodology of the best European practices.

    The consultations were held between ExPE and GIZ project in Ukraine

    Igor Cherkashyn , the Head-coordinator of public organization "The Expert Platform for Energy Efficiency" held a meeting with the Director of GIZ project "Establishment of energy agencies in Ukraine", Robert Künne. During the meeting parties discussed the prospects of joint-cooperation regarding the project implementation on development of regional energy agencies both in pilot Oblasts, which were selected by GIZ, and in other Oblasts of Ukraine that expressed their interest in structuring process of the regional energy efficiency policy and renewable energy development based on best European practices.

    Public utility Company “The Kiev Metro” jointly with ExPE begins moving to energy efficiency

    On January 15, 2015 on the production and technical facility depot "Darnytsia" of the Kiev Metro was held second joint organizational-technical meeting between chief engineers of Public utility company “The Kiev Metro” structural subdivisions under the guidance of Chief Operating Officer Vladimir Zel and the experts of the Expert Platform for Energy Efficiency, Oleksandr Boyko and Eduard Kulbak.

    Olga Kosharna: Russia may lose a nuclear fuel markets in EU and Ukraine

    Olga Kosharna, the expert of ExPE, director of Information and Public Relations of the Ukrainian Nuclear Forum Association, in the broadcast of “Socialna Kraina” channel speaks about documents falsification regarding radiation leak at Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Station, as well as the future of Russia on the energy market of Europe.
    The market of Ukraine is the arena of struggle between Russian company «TVEL», supplying nuclear power to Ukrainian NPP, and U.S.-Japan Company “Westinghouse Electric”. Ukraine has 15 nuclear power plant units. Annual amount of USD 600 million is the market volume, which we buy in Russian Federation.
